Well Blizz has posted that they preferred to bring avoidance back into the mix and have backed that up by resigning the block system. The article also mentions a lot more stamina on gear which would allow for different gemming. Now granted he is a hunter and all classes were getting a health overhaul so maybe that is the reason. I am in agreement that, even in my relatively short time on, Blizz has a shown a pattern of making the difficult content more manageable.

Yeah was just throwing that in there to show that it may be different when we finally get in there and thought it was interesting.

guaranteed that tuning is totally fubar at this point anyway. They haven't even done their basic numbers pass for either tank or healer classes.

I do hope the end result is actually like what he describes though. Back in the day, tanks were worried about being a mana-sponge, then healers just got way too strong comparitively. As a healer, I hope they nerf the hell out of healers (so long as shammies get nerfed just a little less than everyone else). I very much want healing to be more like dps - gradual and systematic more than twitch whackamole. At least more so than now. And I want tanks and dps to have to worry about how well I can heal them and have to help me out with that as they can, instead of just assuming that's my problem.

Latest changes to warrior talent calculator is up. Looks like Prot can take both healing talents very early and easily in the fury and arms trees

(might have to ctrl+F5 to clear your cache)

Not too sure about the new changes to fury. I don't see why they are putting a parry talent so deep (at all) into the tree. I suppose it is in line with making furry a viable pvp tree. Lots of talents to gain and refund rage. Thats a little scary. We also lose IMPALE which has been a mainstay for quite awhile

    Prot build
There are a couple things that can be thrown around but this build looks pretty solid

Well crap. Unholy lost Bone Shield which is now a Blood talent. Makes sense for tanking but damn

At the moment we are thinking of nerfing any of the really passive AEs, including Swipe, Death and Decay, Damage Shield and Consecrate. All of those abilities (well, maybe not Damage Shield) would still be usable, but they would be more situational.

The bottom line is that we think all tanks need to be able to trivially handle the massive adds or straggling adds situations easily, or none of them should be able to. (Source)
    hmmmmm
